From the article it seems like an open world version of NFS ProStreet where u started from bottom to beating the best racer and everyone cheering you on your journey.
The game not being available where PSN isn’t available is one thing. But folks willingly not playing the game solely because they have to spend 47 seconds creating a PSN account is silly to me. It’s like the PC gamers that refuse to play games on EGS.
In the end it’s their game. They published it. They paid for development. They are paying for the port. They can distribute the game however they want. And I can choose to pay them to consume the game or not. There’s bigger and better things to spend my outrage on.

I already said I wouldn't buy the game because it won't function based on the choices of the publisher. There's no drama in it from my end (surprisingly). The word "boycott" was initiated by Golden... You can ask him what he meant? Not sure.
I don't lose sleep on any game. God of War plays wonderfully on steam deck. I was happy to pay them for the game. If they don't want my cash-ola then we move on down the road.

Psn will not load on steam deck because it's Linux based. They've lost a sale from me because they've made it impossible to play the game.
Sony treats it's Devs like crap. They'd rather have your data than get sales. It's madness.
So your grievance isn’t from the standpoint of a PC gamer, but as a person that will ONLY play games on the Steam Deck? Should Switch only gamers and iPhone gamers be boycotting too?

Who's boycotting the game? Sony chose not to sell it to me... Lets not confuse this issue please. Sony made a conscious choice to leave certain pc gamers out because they prioritize gathering data rather than simply sell the game to everyone in the pc landscape. Their choice. No boycott. I've got the money sitting right here ready to fork over.
Bringing Nintendo and iPhone into a discussion about pc devices that run steam is a special kind of shilling for Sony mate.... Amazing you don't see how off that is.

@last_lap: nah, while I do nowadays play mobile games but too late to join that game specifically. There lots of seasonal events I missed so I dont have interest to play it. Likely would have played it had my friends introduced it to me bit earlier.
Thats good. Weed out those fake PC mustards, real master race signs up to that account just like how they slaved themselves to steam, battlenet, xbox, bethesda, uplay, gog whatever else launcher. Those countries that do not have access to GoWR just means lost revenue to Sony idk whats the cry, it actually hurts sony and they dont get to play. Its a win win for everyone.
Anyhow here is gameplay from PC build. It looks great and honestly makes sense to port it to PS as few high budget free 2 play titles like Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail found success on the platform.
Appearantly this game's predecessor "Shining Nikki" had been downloaded 100 million times.
The very popular one is actually called "love nikki". That game you mentioned is the sequel. I kinda know this as I have friends that actually plays it and they say its actually pretty engaging storywise as involve fashion dress up and... world ending events. Usual anime hijinks.
Zero interest in buying due to I think platformers suck but even I am impressed by the trailer. These kind of cheerful vibrant color been missing from Sony in years and I kind of smiled when I watched the trailer during the showcase. Reminded me of back when Sony used to do these weird games like Puppeteer, Gravity Rush and even Little Big Planet.
