Political correctness hasnt gotten much worse over the years, it's just much easier now to not only see things that offend you, but also easier to see people complaining about being offended. It is basically the same as it always was, we just get to see a lot more useless opinions than ever before.

But the Government is still shut down, and people aren't getting paid. Pelosi doesn't win. She's one of the main reasons the shutdown is still going, by refusing to compromise.

No they compromised. They added money for border security and approved opening the government. trump is the reason it isn't opened. Period. HE refuses to compromise.

It takes two to compromise Nancy and Chuck would not even go to the negotiations. Trump has given a number of things the Democrats wanted and they turned him down. He wants a wall, that these same people voted for in the past.

Why do you continue to say things that are so easily proven as false? Are you just hoping no one looks it up and takes your word for it? Or did fox news tell you this and you actually think these things are true because you didnt do any research? I just don't get it.

Because he wasn't interested in an actual wall and the GOP knew it would never pass. But it makes for a good campaign slogan.

Same with repealing Obamacare.

GOP didn't really want Obamacare to go anywhere, knew it would never get repealed, but it makes for a good slogan.

What was that about lock her up again?

Bingo, it wouldn't have passed. This way it can not pass and he can blame the democrats, before it would have made the GOP look weak (they still do but not to everyone). This is actually not a bad tactic by trump, it's immoral and hurts the country, but from a pure tactical standpoint it's not the worst idea. The only problem is he is in a corner now that he didnt predict. There's no way in hell the Dems give him the wall money now or he will hold american citizens hostage every time he wants something.

Looking at Matthew Whitaker's previous comments about the russia investigation give a pretty clear picture of why this was done.

How is suppressing the votes of hundreds of thousands of black people "democracy at work"?

You assuming something does not make it a fact.

Democracy voted and Abrams lost, now she should accept it as a normal person would do and bow out.

We don't have to assume it, it is a fact that we can actively check. Whether or not they get away with it doesn't change what we all know happened. This isn't a he said she said case, there's physical, hard, evidence that this happened. Throwing your arms up and saying you're ok with it until a court ruling tells you that you should not be ok with it is laughable when the outcome of a court case does not erase what we factually saw happen.

What is obviously morally wrong and what is lawfully wrong often differ and needed the latter to influence the former is a failing on your part.

@Jacanuk: So whoever is currently in office there lost but won't accept it? And what does Kemp has to do with it?

Not currently in office, just the losing candidate wont concede most due to the mass voter suppression used by the other candidate who was in charge of his own election. Under his watch they purged thousands of voters under false pretenses and closed down a ton of voting places in strategic locations to prepare for this election.

You mean "assumed by the far-left"

Until this has gone to the supreme court there has not been any voter suppression confirmed.

Assumed? Both of those things happened and that is a fact we can check. What you are attempting to argue is that they havent been proven to have done this to try to win this election specifically. While that is a good point, it doesnt erase that fact that both of those things happened and to any person with any sort of critical thinking, they know it was to help them in this election. Most likely they will get away with it because intent is extremely hard to prove.

If you want to think those actions were unrelated to this election and it was just some miracle that a large majority of the closed polling places were in areas where they were less likely to get votes then by all means keep thinking that. Ignorance truly is bliss.

How is this going to effect the Russia investigation is my only concern. Sessions hasnt done much right, but recusing himself was one right move.

Democrats were expecting to obtain a lot more. AKA the whole blue wave movement.

They still didn't lose. They had gains.

They have a simple majority in the house. It gives them some say now in what goes on, but this is far from the Blue Wave they were wanting.

Losing the governorship and senate in FL is a huge loss though. FL is critical to winning the presidency. Doesn't bode well for them in 2020.

The governorships they did win were in unimportant flyover places like Kansas. FL is more important than all of those places combined basically.

Felons also had their voting rights restored in Florida, I wonder how that's going to play out in 2020? Hmmmm...

And are you seriously using the phrase flyover states? Come on.

Trump will win in 2020. The blue wave was a complete bust.

Whatever helps you sleep at night my man.
