The HD 2900 XT is a big dissapointment. From what i have read the 2600 XT is not really good too. I hope this is not a sign of what is to come from AMD ... The X1900xt and x1800xt was running hot but they were very good cards specially with an artic colling fan. The 9800 was just awesome. The 9600xt was a very good value for the money. And the X850 XTPE while expensive was a beast. The last 3 cards i bought was ATI but i doubt i'll buy an AMD card when i will change. The 8600 and 8800 are definately better.
Early stage of developement ? This game ship in 4 or 5 months lol Look nice though juste not jaw dopping. But Halo and Halo 2 was not jaw dropping so it doesn't come as a surprise at all.
You don't need a guide for WoW. Put everything at max and if you comp can't run it it means your comp sucks ;) I have an average PC. Athlon 64 2800+ with a X1800 XL and i can max the game easily with AA4x and max aniso.
wow a little change of look for old games like solitaire or minesweeper is enough for gamespot to create an article about it. There's countless of new and original free games avalaible over internet deserving more of gamespot time than these old games everyone already know about. But this is the way things are now. If you are a big company the only thing you have to do is change the look or create a new outfit to have a news over gamespot while smaller companies making free flash games can't get a small 10 lines news here and there even if they create awesome little free games like Base Jumping.
