I understood what you said perfectly, but the point is that you can say that about a lot of games, not just from Sony and cinematography was around for years which you seem to ignore as does other people. Not projecting anything on you, just pointing out the stupid crap from Sony haters in general -not saying you are one- and its sad since they have no games to talk about on the level of GOW. GOW has always had cinematic aspects so it should not be an issue now. That last part is ironic since most people in SW just sit online all day bashing games they can't play lol. Also Sony has not had a game that focused on cinematography since Uncharted 4, which was two years ago. No need to refute anything because its BS.

The guy didn't say he hated Sony, only that it was yet another big, hyped title from them infused with a premise he doesn't like. (Third person, over the shoulder, big focus on storytelling and cinematography, role of the parental guardian, etc) You can say that about a lot of games, but we're talking about a Sony developed one right now which is a sequel to a franchise people know and love. Why does it get called a movie game? Go back and look at the 2016 reveal trailer. It's 10 minutes long yet there's only about a minute and a half worth of actual gameplay footage. The lack of a HUD doesn't help, because we don't know what parts are automated and what's not. (early footage, understandable.) The rest of it is slow walking while listening to dialogue, along with some slow camera panning to look at the environments. A year later and we have more footage of the same scenes and it mostly cutscenes, or non-player controlled movement. IIRC it wasn't until a few weeks ago we actually got real time footage of the combat in different locations. It got tagged as a movie game because of how much footage they were showing that had no player input at all. This is for a sequel to a series known for it's hack and slash gameplay, and they were marketing everything but the gameplay.

Also Horizon came out last year and people call that a movie game as well.

Wasn't a fan of that trailer music. Hate stuff like that, but really like what I heard from that music preview you posted. The actual footage though looks really neat so I'm keeping an eye on this game.

@calvincfb: Apologies. I wasn't aware that wasn't a custom forum avatar so I saw the same thing and assumed that was you.

Have you ever played games before kid LOL? Most games have prolific Hollywood voice actors or a voice actor period. Ever heard of Halo or GTA? I bet you didn't know Tom Sizemore and Samual L Jackson did the voices in in San Andreas or that Ray Liotta was Tommy Vercetti in GTA Vice City? This whole "movie game" thing is just stupid fanboy crap because Sony is kicking the competition's green butt LOL. Mo cap and cut scenes have been a round since 3D gaming started to take over. So RPGs are movie games since they focus on story? See how dumb that sounds. It's called having an interesting plot and good characters. Something that games like Resident Evil, Silent Hill, FF and Mass Effect were all praised for so why are people not complaining about those "movie games"? I swear some of you people are straight out of the another universe. I never hear these terms offline. Why is that?

Projecting again, and you completely ignored the point that was made because you can't refute it. Sony games of late have a heavy emphasis on implementing cinematography, and some people don't like that.

Also going offline means going outside and that requires effort on your part, so that's why you've never heard it.

resorting to memes is basically saying you conceded, thanks.

You're trying to claim an argumentative victory to a reaction to something you said to a different person.

Don't worry. The need for that kind of validation goes away around the time you make it past post-secondary education.

This whole "movie" thing has run its course. You guys need something new to lie about.

Kratos's long time voice actor was replaced for a much more prolific Hollywood actor who could also do the motion capture for cutscenes. Having such a heavy focus on the story and cutscenes are what people mean by movie-games. Also lol @ your projection.

the problem is consoles still use SATA II connections so even if you replace the internal drive with an SSD, it's not going to give you the results you get on the PC...nowhere close. I'm not sure if the Xbox One X uses SATA III connection though...if it does then it wouldn't be a huge waste of time replacing it.

Measured tests show a significant improvement. Yeah Sata 2 doesn't have the full bandwidth to max out SSD speeds, but that's not the only issue with loading things in. That old CPU isn't doing any favors since it's not just a matter of reading and transferring data off the HDD.
