Castle of the Winds 1: A Question of Vengeance Cheats For PC

1. Escape & Steal (Like Thief)

   If you are in your inventory identifying an item or whatever and a pop-up says there's a monster seen or attacking, you can cast Phase Door/Teleport from the Spell menu-and as long as you don't leave the inventory screen you can still grab whatever is on the ''floor'' where you were attacked.

2. Full Constitution

   Choose any spell and keep casting it over and over. It doesn't matter if your Mana Points go negative. At around -20 MP, your hitpoints will raise. Your constitution has just been raised to its max.

3. Infinite Money... with work.

   Go into a shop, and have the "Phase Door" or "Teleport" spells on your spell menu - it makes doing this easier.

   When you're in the shop, select either spell, then exit the screen. You'll see a treasure pile sitting at the doorway of the store. Now, you've got two ways of getting the loot: Either enter the doorway again and cast a summon monster spell from the "Activate!" menu, leave, then hit (I)nventory, or leave, then phase door/teleport around until you land on the square with the treasure pile. Using the (G)et command will cause the game to crash, so you'll need to use the (I)nventory menu instead, and move everything seperately. It'll take a while to do, but it's all free. If you can hold it, you can leave, go back to the store, and sell it right back. Free money!

   This works with both Castle of the Winds 1 and 2.

4. Getting max constitution

   As you'll see above, you can achieve max constitution by using magic over and over until your constitution reaches the bottom limit code-wise and, having no alternative it goes to the top limit. However, you cannot just pick any spell to start. There are only two spells that work with this glitch: Magic Arrow and Light. I'm not sure why exactly, but I believe all the other spells you can choose must check constitution for some reason or other which results in your death since your actual constitution by then is zero.

5. Generate new random floors

   Whenever you reach a new floor, it is randomly generated the moment you use the stairs. Normally, you use < or > to go up and down stairs, or you select Verbs and use stairs.
   But for reasons unknown, using ( or ) to go up or down stairs will cause the floor to be replaced with a new randomly generated version.
   Since a new floor has several items, and certain floors have bosses, you can gather far more loot, and even re-battle the final boss by simply regenerating the floor he's on!
