I'm talking 10's people , perfect games or so special and good you have no choice to give it a 10. and don't forget 9 and 8's are great games as well. So be conservative with your 10's and just give us the best of the best.

Well The BFG edition sucks. The graphics are worse than the originals from 2004, and it includes that gameplay ruining flashlight mod. The Absolute HD mod looks better than alot of current gen games, while improving the gameplay (enemies are more aggressive, weapons have more punch). It turns Doom 3 into the best survival horror game I've ever played.

@pinkribbonscars: hmm, the thing is I play this in vr, but the vr mod only works on the bfg edition i think. I suppose there isn't any way to install this on the bfg edition.

Doom 3 is a indeed a great horror game, I certainly agree with that. maybe you should try the vr version, it is quite good in vr,, even a lot better imo.

I have the VR mod for the BFG Edition. The VR is awesome, but like you said, it uses the BFG edition as it's base, and the Absolute HD only works with the original version. The Absolute HD version in VR would be insane...

Alien Isolation is incredible in VR. I've played it in both pancake and VR and it's crazy just how much better it is in VR. I had to remove my headset at times because it was so intense lol

Pinky, just play Doom Eternal. its most mindblowing game in years.

haha, I can imagine, and pretty much any 3d game is just better in vr, I really need to set it up again, I moved a couple of weeks ago and I'm still figuring out where to put my vr space, it is bit annoying with me since I still use the cv1 and need a good spot for my sensors.

No game ever made would get a 10/10 from me. Every game can be better, none are perfect. The closest for me would be Everquest 1999, followed by FFVII (PSX).

Waiting til it's <$20. Was bored halfway through 2016 so I'm not really hyped for just more of the same, but I do want to check it out since I did have fun with 2016

I was torn between Thief and Dishonored. I'm not really following the system shock remake.

but you praised painkiller and serious sam. Doom 2016 was just far better version of them..

@commander: Its a really good game, I'd give it an easy 8. Would be a 9 if it ended sooner without the obvious padding.

Game is about 15-20hrs though, really good.

Thinking about this reminds me that I like a lot of different things in games but one that that is consistent: I do NOT like super dark "Mature" games (whatever that means).

Try and find a game that's more mechanically sound, intuitive and fun than Tetris, I dare you.

Then what is the point of having a 10? That's dumb. Why not 9/9 then, or 5/5? 10 isn't supposed to be unattainable, and it doesn't have to mean flawless. I would consider a 10/10 a masterpiece or excellent.

- Some absolute shit games.

- The good old "no game is perfect" as if that's what the 10 implies.

- And last but not least, the "for its time!" nonsense.

If we use Gamespots horrid scoring system, a lot. If we use the classic scoring decimal system, none. I don't think I've ever played a game that is worth 10/10. Even masterpieces like Half Life 2, Metroid Prime and GTA3 for me have tiny flaws. I know 10/10 doesn't mean perfect, but again, don't think I've played a game that is up to the score, nor will I.

They shoved so many shitty platforming puzzles in it that I got bored. Should never get bored in a Doom game.

Dont care what anyone says. Metal Gear Solid 5........if it had launched with chapter 3 and properly closed out the story, would have been the greatest game ever made IMO. This is coming from a lifelong MGS fan though, so.

The game had so many things that 13 year old me when I played MGS3 fantasized about being able to do on the (THEN) unnanounced MGS4 on the (THEN) unnanounced next gen PS3, that that game couldnt even do.
