E3 2019: Xbox Briefing

Also known as "The Other PC Gaming Show."

Last year, Microsoft announced a slew of acquisitions, so this year, we will hopefully start to see the fruits of Microsoft's billions. Phil Spencer claimed they will have 14 first party games to show off, all of which will inevitably have superior PC versions. And with Microsoft committed to bringing their games to Steam, I won't even have to put up with the Windows Store any more to get them either. Poor Windows Store. At least you made your own exclusives - and have a shopping cart.

Anyway, we'll be live in 13 hours, but I thought people might want a yabber beforehand, so I decided to post this early. Also, I'm kind of in the need for a wee shut-eye, so I might as well get this thread done before I go do just that.

Already look at the leaks ahead time Microsoft E3 rehearsal revealed these games according to a friend and so with that, I'll skip this one.

What games were leaked?

New Xbox might be shown tonight.

I thought it was well known that they were showing Scarlet.

I hope they bring it!!!

• Bleeding Edge - 4v4 fighter (alpha video: Bleeding Edge
• The new Xbox "Scarlett" will feature these games - Forza, Perfect Dark reboot, Fable 4 (set in steampunk world), Initiative studios new IP (a cop drama, sorta like LA Noire)

I left out DLC & 3rd party titles due to those are little of concern and not that important to MS press conference. Microsoft will also mention the purchase of IO Interactive (Hitman series) and Studio MDHR (Cuphead)

@NathanDrakeSwag: I'm more interest in Fable 4 set in Steampunk cause I love anything in Steampunk so this is one of MS games I'm looking forward to.

I really like the sound of The Initiative working on a cop drama. I'm a sucker for anything in that genre if it tells a compelling story and really wasn't expecting them to make a game like that.

Here's hoping for something great. Let's face it, even if you hate XBox, they are going to be around for another gen. It's a best case scenario that we have great competition that pushes all of gaming forward. It's not healthy to hate just to hate. Its like swallowing poison and hoping someone else dies.

I have a bottle of Woodford Reserve, a can of Cherrywine, and a bottle of Mexican cocacola for the occasion. I'm hoping for great things. Microsoft has, essentially, all of E3 to themselves to do something great here, so now is a good time to keep an open mind! Cheers!

I'm actually kinda excited for this. I've got time today so I'll watch it. I'm hoping they show some VR element for Scarlett. Other than that, I am interested to see what MS comes up with in terms of first party, but I don't expect much. Let's face it, they've done terribly for a while now. But I'll give them the benefit of the doubt here. If MS can't pull off a great E3 this time around, then they're totally lost, especially after having such a crappy gen.

Nope, its known as the Xbox show even on PC so both of you are incorrect.

That is why you must use the Xbox App to access these games on PC.

Except Forza, Gears, Halo, etc... are all releasing on Steam and you don't need to use any MS app or any MS store to access them.

Yup, but I've seen MS grow over the years, they aren't ashamed of publishing games on PC anymore xD

Just for clarification: They teased the future of AOE first at the PC gaming show at E3, but they announced Age of Empires IV at a seperate event, I think it was at GDC, but it was an event entirely around age of empires :)

So this is pretty much the biggest conference of E3 by far? Feels like E3 both starts and ends with the MS conference.

I'm very excited to hear about next gen! Really feel likes it time to move on now. Visuals don't impress anymore, which was very clear at yesterdays SW gameplay.

I would totally not be surprised if Steam is either purchased by Microsoft or if they are teaming up together on XboxCloud announcement is made today or if not soon.

Also Xpass Ultimate will be announce today, and from what I have heard from Level One Xbox insiders in the betas, you can trade in your current months of xbox gold and game pass for month per month of XPass Ultimate, and Gears 5 Ultimate Edition will be available for allcurrent subs.

There will be a lot of Multi plat games on Xbox stage since Sony is not showing up at all. So we can also call it the alt PS4 multi plat show of games that won't look as good as on the X! Sorry to rub salt in there. Had too!

But let's all have a fun E3! This is the Super Bowl for us Weirdos and a time for us all to be gamers together! At show or here at our homes. I am going to grill out some food make some drinks and have a blast today!

Watching on Mixer of course thay always give out some goodies for Xbox gamers, it's a no brainer!

It also makes sense they won't show it during Xbox conference because it won't be on Xbox.

Stop dreaming. Valve is privately owned and Gabe isn't too fond of MS, he use to be a former MS employee. He turned down those rumors multiple times in the past. Even if by some miracle it were to happen, Valve comes at a very hefty price tag.

But it fits with what MS is doing, Whole new group in charge of MS, Azure will let people play PC games on under par computers, Epic is putting the squeeze on them, size matters and $$$ talks.

to a console gamer it is like arguing over grocerie store chains stores. They all have the same stuff and you cook and eat the same way.

Epic isn't putting any pressure on them. Do you see Valve acknowledges the existence of Epic, even once? Epic has to cough up cash when they secure a timed-exclusive. Valve gets it on their own merits. I can also bet that gaming success stories will continue to come out of Steam than on Epic Store. Just to put things in perspective according to Gabe Valve is more profitable per employee than MS or Apple.

You PC guys and allegiance to stores. Again= Piggly Wiggly vs Kroger to the rest of us. We don't care. And is that not the best part of PC? it's an open system? Don't tell me you guys now care about achievements and trophies?
