20 years later and Halo franchise is still alive, so its time to get hype for Halo: Infinite!!! GS gives it a 9/10!

Been a long time since I work up a hype thread. But given the fact Halo Infinite went GOLD, I figure its time to do the hype while it's good. You all know I'm a fan of the franchise for the past 20 years since Xbox arrival, I haven't been this excited since well, Halo 3 to be honest and less Halo 5 to be honest.

Not for me but I'm sure someone will appreciate the collectors edition, so better go grab it while its good.

Nothing more to add but the MP open to play was freaking amazing! With BF2042 & CoD: Vanguard getting shafted, perfect time for Halo: Infinite to steal the fame & glory. I'm going with a 9/10 & 80-85MC.

Going by the MP this is going to be a half baked experience. 8/10 from GS for the campaign but will deserve a 6/10. 82 meta.

Btw, i would like to remind everyone that this game is more AssCreed than most open world games, even Horizon1 and Horizon2. So the real score for this game will be Ubisoft/10.

Have been loving the gameplay in the multiplayer so very hyped to play through the campaign when it launches. It’ll probably get an 8/10 here and be in the low to mid 80’s on Metacritic.

the free multiplayer side of things has reminded me that I still don't really like Halo MP, but I can recognize that its well made.

I'm looking forward to the campaign, even though I haven't fully enjoyed a Halo campaign since CE, I think that is at least partly due to my never owning a Xbox and playing them all ages after they came out.

You know Halo is doing well, when the usual suspects are hating on it a week before it launches….mp gameplay stomps all over bf2042, and how wonderful it is to see the same Cows that were calling for Halo to change it’s formula to now say that changing the formula is a bad thing.

There is NO Halo movie nor has it ever been confirmed at all! You must be talking about the "live series" that's coming to Paramount+

I personally think it will get 9/10.

Let me get this out of the way first: 343 doesn't make the best Halo games. Just like The Coalition I feel they just rethread old ground.

However, they did bring all the Halo games to PC and that is something I've wished for for years.

Halo Infinite also runs really good: 4k/60 max settings on an aging 1080ti. I'm very pleased with the results and I can't wait to play the singleplayer.

Great soap overall, only issue I have with Dr. Squatch the soap dissolves really damn fast. My recommendation is to cut small chunks and use what you need and save the rest for later without dissolving the whole bar cause the soap isn't cheap.

I don't usually do the hype threads but i'm all about some Halo and i'm really enjoying what i'm seeing so far..

that said, Gamespot will find a reason to give an 8/10..

9/10 from IGN and other outlets.. mid-to-high 80s metacritic due to the toxic click-bait reviews..

On here, 6/10, because some reason the reviewer will lament the exclusion of Forge mode.

What if it gets a 6/10? This will be the biggest failure of gaming history. Flagship of a trillion dollar company getting shovelware grade scores😖😊🤣

Finished Halo CE and 2 the other day and started Halo 3 today... Getting ready for the 8th.

If that happens, I'll still enjoy the game👌😎

Multiplayer is fun. Hopefully the single player is worth $60, but I'll be playing it on Game Pass.

I love the MP.. Halo Infinite MP is already my game of the year.. I've already logged over 30 hours I can't get off of it after work.

I'll play through the campaign on gamepass for sure, but I'm excited to see what they add to the MP over the next few years, this games MP will most likely be in rotation for a long time, haven't had this much fun with Halo MP since 2 and 3. Also crossplay has been awesome, very cool I can play with my friends who are on current gen and last gen Xbox while I'm on PC. Me and my buddies have been squading up like it was the good ole days.

was definitely looking forward to doing Legendary campaign coop with you but i don't think Halo Infinite should be "docked points" for not having it at launch..

I do totally seeing that possibly happening though.. despite just about every 9/10 gamespot rated game in recent memory not having online coop or a forge equivalent at launch..

@Antwan3K: hell yeah, definitely looking forward to some Legendary co-op with you when that is available.

Judging by the multiplayer the campaign is going to have very solid performance and gameplay, so foundation is there but let's see how good or bad the story is.

Multiplayer is surprisingly great. This coming from someone who never managed to enjoy Halo's MP.

That new AI that follows Chief and the pilot are almost as annoying than the cringy af bf2042 voice lines

I'm going 8/10 the MP has been great (with the exception of overly aggressive monetisation) but I could easily see the campaign being great but feature incomplete.

You consider that not being annoying? I simply don't believe you. Her and his voice belong in Fortnite, not Halo. And lets not even mention the dialogue (especially her's). Like what's up with trying to make her sound cute n shit? Listen to Cortana in HALO CE... that's what an AI is supposed to be and sound like. The childish direction in Infinite is as stupid as Destiny/Destiny2 humor, but then again, the game is now rated T, so i understand them aiming for teenagers that also play Fortnite.🤦‍♂️
