A sad review of a hardcore lore fan

User Rating: 2 | World of Warcraft: Legion PC

I can't help but feel sad to write this, as World of Warcraft is one of my favourite games.

I will say this, there are exceptions to what I say bellow but the overall feeling of warcraft is as follows:

To this day I will always say it is my favourite game; but as of Cataclysm, and this includes Mists of Pandaria, Warlords of Draenor, and Legion; I sadly can not recommend picking up World of Warcraft to any new players, unless you already have a group of friends to play with do not bother, the community is not helpful to new players, and will more often than not leave a new guy in the dust, getting scorned in groups because of lack of heirlooms, ganked in pvp servers, useless in battlegrounds, and no group in the dungeon finder or the raid finder, the only tools available for some of the content, is willing to help out a new player.

The systems and amount of classes and mechanics can quickly become overwhelming unless you have someone to guide you through it, and with the massive amounts of people all ready playing with years of experience, if you don't know these systems, once again you're left out to dry.

The game it's self is great, but with an MMO, I can not judge it simply by the game alone but by the community accompanying it, and as a last word:
World of Warcraft, great with friends, over crowded systems and a closed off community leave much to be desired...
