Hogwarts Legacy is here! And with it, we've discovered all sorts of tips, like how not to halt combat progression and some nasty spell combos. So get your Expelliarmus and Depulso Wizarding/Witch self in gear, because Dark Arts class is in session, and we're teaching.

We've laid out a whole new list of things we wish we knew stepping into Hogwarts Legacy. 26 things, as the title would suggest! From understanding the only way to earn experience through the field guide book and why defeating Dark Wizards ad nauseum is pointless.

Or perhaps, did you know that there's more hot keys than you might realize? Pressing the d-pad while in the map menu will quickly switch between maps, without you needing to manually choose with your analog stick. Or, Wingardium Leviosa can be used without even equipping it into a slot! Just hold down the casting button when using Accio, and presto, the spell turns into Wingardium Leviosa.

We've got plenty of fun you can do while using Transfiguration, like turn your enemy into a barrel, and then dropping it off of a cliff or tossing it at a wall.

So, watch along for more as Aaron Sampson will turn you into the ultimate Hogwarts Legacy witch/wizard to fear. Delve into the dark arts with him... and harness your inner Death Eater! MUA HAHA.

Hogwarts Legacy is developed by Avalanche Software, a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The game has been embroiled in controversy due to transphobic remarks from Harry Potter author JK Rowling. Although she is not personally involved with its development, she stands to profit from its success. For more, read our in-depth article on how Rowling's comments have impacted the trans community. In this article, you will also find links to trans creators you can support, as well as charities you can donate to.
