And did I mention its VR/Meta Quest 3 exclusive as well:
After all, VR is still doing great right you guys and gals? (WB/Rocksteady needs to drop the Arkham name itself as its just milking the namesake at this point)
The only sad news here is that it will be exclusive to the quest. What I gathered from the teaser is that it looks like Meta are doing the development and WB are just providing the right to the name.
It would be nice if it came to other VR platforms too but I won't hold my breath.
Saw this, but not interested due to the platform that can close your account and invalidate your purchases if you don't give them your info. Got rid of my Quest when this happened to us.
First off: **** exclusives in general. Double-**** VR exclusives. I mean, really; are you TRYING to kill the platform off?
With that said, I will almost always be supportive of VR as an interface, but right now I think it is better suited for spinoffs and one-shots. I don't think core franchise installments--in this case, a Batman: Arkham title--should necessarily be exclusive to VR.
Adaptations a la Skyrim and Fallout are of course welcome either parallel to release or afterwards.
The one exception I can think of is HL: Alyx and, well, only Valve could get away with that and also because that was arguably the single most amazing gaming experience of the last ten plus years. So there's your standard, game developers; get to it, or stick to what your know.
PSVR2 isn't getting this? Another reason to not invest into vr. The market is too fragmented for how small the market is.

Doing all these VR exclusives on a single VR device is why VR will never succeed unless you make the game available for all VR devices. Oh well🤷♂️
