I have read about the controversial Lola Montez' life. Chuck Norris' auto-biography and Joseph C. Merrick aka The Elephant Man's life. Ray Kurzweil's auto-biography too.

And you?

I’ve read Gretzky’s first book he’s written, but other than that I’ve read nothing else. I can’t seem to read anything other then magazines, nothing else register’s in my brain and I can’t compute a simple book. Dunno why?

Paramahansa Yogananda. His autobiography is called "Autobiography of a Yogi". He was a hindu preacher who had a lot of interesting experiences. He witnessed many miracles and met a lot of different saints (like Gandhi). The book was so brilliant that it almost made me convert to Hinduism. I highly recommend it.

I think I've read more, but all I can think of right now are:

Chuck Yeager. Test pilot who broke the sound barrier.

Woody Guthrie. Folk singer.

Tadamichi Kuribayashi. Commander in the WW2 Battle of Iwo Jima.

Ozzy Osbourne. If you don't know who he is, you can go to Hell.

I love it when a book can change your worldview or a huge aspect of your life.

It sounds stupid but I've been a huge Dune fan since forever and the "litany against fear" still helps me in adverse situations or when you feel your irrational/animal mind start to overcome your rational/human mind.
