If you are really looking for a long time investing campaign spanning many an hour, filled with intrigue, action, tactics and very memorable characters, look no further. BioWare have outdone themselves.
There is no need to brief the story to you. Surely you have already heard that this game stars Dragon Age's mystical world in Ferelden, a country in Thedas which is about to host the uprising of the fifth Blight - the incoming of the archdemon and its hordes of undead corpses called The Darkspawn upon Thedas, laying generations to waste unless some extremely skilled and special warriors called the Grey Wardens enhance their ranks with new recruits to fight the eminent desolation. Thats where our Hero comes in, free for you to decide upon his origin (and thus the preluding origin story) which will either way lead you into joining the ranks of the Wardens.
Without giving away spoilers, its safe to say nothing will go according to plan and soon you will find yourself in the company of the Warden Alastair and the Witch Morrigan, about to begin your journey through Ferelden covering the lands of the Dwarves, Elves, Mages, Templars to unite them into one single army to fight the Blight.
Getting the trust of each race will not be easy as you'll have to divert from the main story to fulfill the demands of the needy and often, the greedy. On the way you'll meet many an ally and face an enormous variety of enemies, carefully picking on their multitudes or slashing through their armies. Upgrading your armor and weapons will be essential if you even think of lasting till the end, when you'll have to try your hand at politics to determine the future of Ferelden in the absence of...wait, that'll be a giveaway
The exciting action or the terrific voice acting isnt all that will capture you. The story itself is one of the best you'll find in RPGs and expect yourself to become deeply engrossed with your party members through your journey.
This game pretty much has everything you might want in a tactical RPG where the combat is not the be-all-end-all.
Planning and preparing, finding your way through difficult situations, using the warriors for melee, mages for magic and rogues for shrewdness will get you through the distance
Play this game knowing you'll be stuck here for 60-80 hours easily,..
